Ordering
Information
The following information will help you when placing an order for houses
and feeders. We will explain the process to make it a "snap"
when you get to the product
"add to order" stage.

We
accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Money Orders, Cashier's Checks,
Business Checks, Personal Checks, Official Purchase Orders (Requires
prior approval/credit inquiry), and good old fashioned cash
(although not recommended for mailing).
Selecting
Options
When
you decide to purchase an assembled house or feeder, at the bottom of
each product page you will be asked to choose your preferred wood type.
You may select "New Cedar" or
"Aged Cedar" free of any additional
charges. This is also known as a "Freeture."
(Kits
are available in "New Cedar" only)
Additional options for selection include Chimneys, Perches, Opening
Panels, and Rear Overhanging Roofs. They will be listed as "Add
Chimney?" - "Add Perch?"
- "Add Opening Panel?" - and
so on. Please select your preference. (If
options are not selected, your house or feeder will be shipped completed
in "New Cedar" without
any available options)
As stated above, you may choose between new or aged cedar when it comes to ordering functional birdhouses or feeders. This option is a freeture, so take your pick.

Chimneys are for decorative purposes only and are available for an additional 50¢ each. The quantity varies with each model.

Perches are available for an additional 75¢ each and one will be added for each hole on the house.

Opening/removable panels may be selected and vary with each model. Some models have removable tops, some have opening sides, and some have removable bottoms. This option is available for an additional fee depending on model.

Most of our houses come standard with a flat back. What this means is the roof does NOT stick out in the back. This allows the house to be flat or flush mounted against a wall or tree. Flat back models can be modified to include an overhanging roof, and this is available for a small additional fee. If this option is available for a house, it will state so under the option selection checkboxes for that model.
If the house is pictured hanging from a branch, it is most likely an overhanging model, these come standard with the overhang for no additional charge.
Any of our houses with a flat bottom can be bottom mounted on a level surface as well.
(Overhanging roofs are not included with kits, unless standard)

Porches are available for most houses that don't already have them. They are simply a front overhanging or protruding bottom. They certainly add a special touch and are priced differently for each house.

A "Comments For Us" box is provided on each house order page. Just type your miscellaneous comments here, i.e. please make the hole larger, please include knots on my house, please lower the hole, etc.

Shipping
Information
Our shipping charges are billed at actual costs. YOU
WILL NOT BE CHARGED AN INFLATED and MARKED-UP FEE, YOU
WILL ONLY BE CHARGED ACTUAL SHIPPING CHARGES.
Please note... the more houses ordered, the lower
the shipping will be per house. Sometimes one house can cost
$6.00 to ship while 2 houses may cost $6.50 to ship. In this example,
by ordering more than one house, the shipping would be cut in half for
each house.
We will also ship via the most cost-effective method possible. We do
not profit from shipping charges and will recommend the best way. Depending
on weight, size, and time, it can be UPS one day and the Post Office
the next.
If you need to have your house shipped via
"UPS AIR FREIGHT", you need to call to explain specifics.
We calculate shipping charges from the same sources you can use, the
United Parcel Service and/or the United States Postal Service web-sites.

Figure
about 3-4 lbs for each hole per house. This estimate will be high, however,
it should give you a "worst-case scenario" to evaluate. Oh

RETURNS
& FREIGHT CLAIMS
If we make an error and ship an incorrect item,
full credit will be given (upon return)
including all shipping costs. (This includes
completed houses and kits)
Full credit will be given if any item is found to be defective from
workmanship. (The item must be returned, and freight
damaged items are not considered to be defective from workmanship)
Items that you may no longer have an interest
in, or have simply changed your mind about may be returned under all
or some of the following conditions:
1. You
call or send an e-mail to receive authorization
2. Items normally kept in stock*
are authorized for return. You will be given full credit for the house/feeder
price only. The original shipping costs**
and any return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility.
* Items normally considered stock are "Aged" wood models in limited
quantities and a few selected models in "New Cedar" as well as some
of the more popular kits. Please specify model when seeking return authorization.
** Shipping costs include the shipping carrier's freight charge, box
cost if any, and a misc packing materials charge of $1.00
3. Some of
our kits are built per order (especially large
quantity orders) and are NOT
AUTHORIZED FOR RETURN.
(This includes
any leftovers and/or spares from your project). However,
stocked kits will be considered for return.
Very important tip for large orders....
If you need to, please order 1 kit of the model
desired for evaluation purposes. It is better to be sure, than have
100 kits that will not work for your needs. The sell price of the "evaluation"
kit will be refunded with a subsequent order of 10 or more like kits.
4. Items are
shipped "FOB-Shipping Point".
This simply means, if necessary, you are responsible for making claims
for "Freight
Damaged" merchandise.
We will provide tracking numbers, delivery receipts and/or any other
assistance to make your claim as painless as possible. (Contrary
to popular belief, freight damaged items are not very frequent).

and/or topics covered or not covered here are open for clarification.
